Swollen Ankle and Foot Treatment


What causes a swollen ankle?

Fluid retention is one of the causes of swollen ankle, and occurs due to failure of the body to excrete excess fluid, thus causing swelling of the tissues. Bruises can also cause foot swelling, swollen ankles, and contusions of the tissues due to damage to the microscopic blood vessels at the surface of the skin that can result in tenderness and discolouration.

10ml Arnica or Hypericum infused oil 5 drops Geranium oil

Hypericum with Geranium helps with fluid movement. This combination assists the dispersal of blood in bruising and has been found to be effective with elderly patients who tend to bruise easily and repair slowly.
