For effective
therapeutic use it is crucial that only pure essential oils are
used - that is, natural plant essences. It is quite pointless buying
any other product, no matter how charming its aroma may be, because
reconstituted products or chemical copies of natural essences simply
do not work for medicinal purposes.
Valerie Ann Worwood

Distillers
and bottlers have a great responsibility in ensuring the future
of aromatherapy. There are many who distil by steam, bottle pure
oils and are honest, but others cut corners. This practice (of adulturation
and substitution) is very common indeed now, so what are practitioners,
let alone members of the public to do?
Daniele Ryman

Use the very
best essential oils you can find. There are some very poor quality
oils offered for sale, and these sometimes include adulterations
or outright synthetics which have nothing to do with aromatherapy
of any kind at all.
Patricia Davis

Optimum quality
is paramount not only in order to get the best results, but also
to avoid the risk of possible harmful side effects. A bonus is that
less essential oil is then needed in order to be effective, a fact
often forgotten by people who buy oils on the false economy of price.
Shirley Price

Insist upon
the importance of using whole essential oils from the highest quality
aromatic plants. ... excellent therapeutic results can only be obtained
by the use of top quality products and that poor quality or adulturation
will lead to disappointment.
Dr Daniel Penoel

Sunspirit can
only agree. The experts are preaching what Sunspirit has been practicing
for nearly 25 years. There is no doubt that quality varies from
product to product in the marketplace.
