While not a serious
health problem, left untreated warts can easily spread to other parts
of the body. The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) causes all warts. HPV is
a virus that attacks the outer skin layer causing the formation of warts.
How
long do warts last?
Warts disappear of their own accord in time, as the body develops immunity
to the virus, but certain essential oils and herbal tinctures have anti-viral
properties that fight the virus naturally, and will not damage the outer
skin.
What
are the benefits of using a herbal product to treat warts?
- Promotes natural
elimination of warts
- Antiviral properties
reduce risk, and growth of viruses
- Speed up the healing
process
- Does not burn surrounding
skin

Technical
Information
Thuja is used as an anti-microbial, astringent, and is directly indicated
in improving diathetic conditions of the blood and acts directly upon
abnormal growths, such as conditions relating to the cell structure of
the skin.
Thuja oil is extracted
from the fresh leaves and twigs by steam distillation, and the main chemical
components of Thuja oil are: a-thujone, b-thujone, a-pinene, camhene,
sabinene, fenchone, camphone, terpinen and bornyl acetate.
Lavender and Lemon
fruit peel and Tea Tree which are active ingredients in Thuja Ointment
are well known for their healing properties to assist in troubled skin
conditions allowing for rapid tissue growth and scar prevention, incorporating
the antibacterial properties.
Sunspirit Thuja Ointment
is blended with the optimum balance of ingredients to promote maximum
healing. With 10% active ingredient each gram of Sunspirit Thuja Herbal
Ointment consists of extract equivalent to dry Thuja leaf & twig -Thuja
occidentalis (72mg) 100% pure essential oil of Lavender flower - Lavandula
angustifolia (10mg) Lemon fruit peel - Citrus Limon (10mg) Tea Tree leaf
& twig - Melaleuca alternifolia (8mg), in a base of superfine Lanolin.
Why
Lanolin?
Sunspirit's ointment base is a superfine pharmaceutical grade lanolin,
free from pesticide residue.
- Lanolin is neither
a fat or a grease, but a true wax (more akin to beeswax)
- Lanolin closely
resembles the skin's natural sebum, absorbing into the skin completely
- Lanolin is an excellent
vehicle for topical application of herbal extracts and essential oils
- Lanolin accommodates
a high concentration of active ingredients
- Lanolin enables
effective penetration of these ingredients in the body tissues
- Lanolin does not
build up accumulated deposits between the epidermal layers
Unlike many of the
petro-chemical based creams (e.g. sorbolene) available on the market today,
Lanolin is more supportive and skin friendly to the human body.
